Congratulations for The Legend , Mr Tony Leung Chiu Wai ✨️


 Congratulations to The Legend and A List Actor of Hong Kong, Mr Tony Leung Chiu Wai for the current achievement as the Winner for Lifetime Achievement at The 80th Venice Film Festival-Venice, Italy on 2 September 2023.

He was named by CNN as one of Asia's 25 Greatest Actors of All Time.

The Incredible Mr Tony Leung known for his great work and collaboration with Wong Kar Wai for 7 films from Chungking Express until In The Mood for Love and The Grandmaster.He also appeared in 3 Venice Film Festival Golden Lion -winning films directed by Ang Lee.Leung also stars in the Academy Award nominated film Hero(2002) , the cult classic Hard Boiled (1992) and Box Office hits Infernal Affairs(2002) and Red Cliff(2008).He came to prominence in Hollywood with his role as Xu Xenwu in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Shang Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings(2021).

Leung has a comprehensive set of awards that he has won in a career that began in the 1980s.For In the Mood for Love, Leung earned the Best Actor award at the Canness Film Festival.He is also a 7 time winner at the Hong Kong Film Awards and 3 time Winner at the Golden Horse Film Awards , holding the record for most awards in the Best Actor category.The 2002 book East Asian Film Stars describes Leung as undoubtedly one of the most successful and widely-acclaimed Hong Kong  actors of his generation with a board and diverse talent.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Leung by the acclaimed Film Director Ang Lee.Leung stated during his speech that he's grateful to have been raised in Hong Kong, as well as being nurtured later by the Hong Kong movie industry in general where his acting career began  and he give the tribute to this honour and give thanks to all those wonderful people who I have worked with over the past 41 years because this is a tribute to them as well and of course, to Hong Kong cinema.

Leung received a lengthy standing ovation from attendees, wiping tears away before giving a heartfelt acceptance speech where he paid tribute to his home country, Hong Kong  and the Hong Kong Film industry.


'It's a great honour to have such a recognition from a Festival that I have a long relationship with , since 1989.I always wanted a Golden Lion, this time I don't even need to share it with anyone'.
