 July 2023 definitely another moment to remember when foreign investors pumped in RM 12.7 billion into debt and equities, the largest monthly foreign portfolio inflows since March 2016, according to a report by UOB Economist Loke Siew Ting.July marks the seventh straight month of net foreign purchases and the longest buying streak since late 2020.Non resident inflows were in both equities(RM 1.4 billion) and Malaysian debt securities(RM 11.3 billion).

Cumulatively , foreign portfolio inflows totalled RM 29.6 billion in the first seven months of 2023 (Jan-July 2022: RM 600 million) , purely boosted by foreign buying of Malaysian debt securities(Jan-July 2023:+RM 32.4 billion , Jan-July 2022:-RM 6.8 billion) as equities recorded an outflow of RM 2.8 billion so far this year (Jan-July 2022:+RM 6.2 billion).

July 26, the Fed appears to be less hawkish , raising market bets that that it may not follow through with the last 25 bps hike Federal Open Market Committee members projected for this year.

The rating agency noted that the stronger demand saw the benchmark 10 year Malaysian Governement Securities(MGS) yield failing 4.8 bps m-o-m to 3.84 per cent as of end-July while the Ringgit appreciated to 4.54 against the US Dollar (end -June : 4.68).As of Aug 15, the 10 - year MGS yield stood at 3.88 per cent while the Ringgit stood at 4.63 per US Dollar.

 I got my first Barbie from my schoolmate when I was a girl(11 years old) because she said I'm the real nice person.Nice to know that Barbie with the tagline You Can Be Anything release the Barbie for Movie version.

Congratulations for Barbie The Movie for the achievement as The Box Offoce Movie crossing 1 Billion globally within 18 days and less than 1 month after release.Barbie has successfully entertained the masses across the world.The Movie has already broken various records including the preview shows.The Greta Gerwig directorial has become the highest grosser of all time by a Female Director, the biggest opening of 2023, the biggest opening by a Female Director , the highest opening for a Non Sequel, the biggest opening for a toy bases Movie.Barbie also became only the 53rd Movie in Movie history to have earned more than 1 billion at the Global Box Office.It's also the first film directed solely by a woman to join the billion dollar film.This film based on a toy marketed to girls primarily (which previously never done well) and had a female movie Director for this film.

It is very important for girls and boys to understand that the women have been living with this culture  and for the boys not to take this personally unless accept and know this isn't specific about boys unless more to the culture of inequality that exist for women.

The film able to educate young generation as well with great message.Ken represent the traditional masculine ideal that society often tells men they should aspire to.He is handsome, confident and always put on a good show.

However, the movie also suggest that no need for men to be Ken.They can be Alan(I prefer this type of people), a man who is kind and supportive & lives life on his terms.Alan is not afraid to help women and he doesn't care what people think about him.

Greta and Margo successfully produced many layered cinematic story about a doll with great effort that can use as the tool for society.For me, it was entertaining and success in it's portrayal of our gender relationship. May we able to view more great quality of film about women & girls empowerment in future.Thank you very much for the great entertainment for us.

Depression and The Importance of Mental Health.

My respectful Ainearest around the world regardless age , religion, background &  status and I , we  never and we'll not involve with suicide.Ever.We know how to handle with depression to maintain our good mental health as well.However , condolences to the family with family members that face depression until suicide.

Maybe , you can learn something from my faith as a Muslim.If something is destined for you then it will become yours and if something is not destined for you, your luck maybe destined for different way.You win some and you lose some.Life is too short to regret and focus for unnecessary things. The roles of family members and good friends also important for people that face depression.Met the professional therapy if you need their advise.Do not shy to admit that you need the therapy as well.Sometimes, it's ok not to be ok.Really.

According to the American Psychiatric Association,depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act.Fortunately, it is also treatable.Depression causes feelings of lost interest in activities that you once enjoyed.It can lead to a variety of physical issue and can decrease your ability to function at work and at home.

Depression symptoms can vary from mild to severe and can include having a depressed , loss of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed, changes in appetite (weight loss or gain unrelated to dieting), trouble sleeping or sleeping too much ,loss of energy or increased fatigue, increase in purposeless physical activities , feeling worthless or guilty , difficulties of concentrating or making decisions and thought of death or suicide.

Psychotherapy or talk therapy is sometimes used alone for treatment of mild depression , for moderate to severe depression, psychotherapy is often used along with antidepressant medications.Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) has been found to be effective in treating depression.CBT is a form of therapy focused on the problem solving in the present.CBT helps a person to recognize distorted/negative thinking with the goal of changing thoughts and behaviors to respond to challenges in a more positive manner.

Psychotherapy may involve only the individual , but it can include others.For example, family or couples therapy can help address issues within these close relationships. Group therapy brings people with similar illness together in a supportive environment and can assist the participants to learn how others cope in similar situations.

Self help definitely important and there are numbers of things people can do to help reduce the symptoms of depression.For many people, regular exercise helps create positive feeling.Getting enough quality sleep on a regular basis, eating a healthy diet and avoiding alcohol can also help reduce symptoms of depression.

Depression is the real illness and help is available.With proper diagnosis and treatment , the vast majority of people with depression will overcome it.If you are experiencing symptoms of depression , the first step is to meet your family physician or psychiatrist.Talk about your concerns and request the continuous evaluation.This is a start to addressing your mental health needs.
